Usher Syndrome is the leading cause of inherited deaf-blindness. Usher 1F Collaborative is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation whose mission is to fund medical research to find an effective treatment to save or restore the vision of those with Usher Syndrome type 1F. Since its inception in December 2013, we have funded almost $2 million in promising research and inspired another $2 million in research with the goal of reaching a clinical trial in less than ten years. When we began our work, only one research lab had Usher 1F as a future initiative. Thanks to the help of volunteers and supporters like you, we now have seven labs actively working on a cure for the vision loss of Usher 1F.
