 l research to find an effective treatment to save or restore the vision of
  those with Usher Syndrome type 1F. Since its inception in December 2013\,
  we have funded almost $2 million in promising research and inspired anoth
 er $2 million in research with the goal of reaching a clinical trial in le
 ss than ten years. When we began our work\, only one research lab had Ushe
 r 1F as a future initiative. Thanks to the help of volunteers and supporte
 rs like you\, we now have seven labs actively working on a cure for the vi
 sion loss of Usher 1F.
